On-trend Autumn Colors to rock this fall
By Aleena Shaikh
2020 hasn't been the greatest year for fashion, with most of us ditching our summer wardrobes for sweatpants and social distancing. But with many countries beginning the slow process of reopening, the chance to rock Fall fashion is finally here! Colder weather also brings with it many exciting new style possibilities, so here's the best fall colors you need to be rocking this year.
This stunning deep red screams Fall and adds an instant touch of sophistication to all your ensembles. It also looks good in a variety of textures, from leather to wool and more. We're partial to how actress Park Shinhye paired this wine red chiffon top with burnt-orange pants for a perfectly on-trend Fall ensemble.
Olive this green:
Serve military chic with this muted green that is especially flattering for desi skintones. Olive looks amazing in tailored pants or coats, like this floor length number on Gigi Hadid.
Black is the new black:
Black is classic for a reason-it always looks good. This is the easiest trend to rock this season as you probably own several black pieces already. This season all black was popular paired with brown or silver shades. We like this Kim Kardashian ensemble where she paired her black dress, boots and tights with a camel-colored coat.
Calling all Holosexuals! This futuristic, rainbow material adds a fun touch of edge to fall looks and we are here for it. Rock holographic sheen in an accessory or pair with neutral pieces for a statement look, like Marion Cotillard in these Balmain pants and black top
What would Fall fashion be without orange? Orange was all over designer runways this season, from brighter citrus shades to mustard-tinged tones. Rihanna herself rocked orange-on-orange for her Fenty fall runway show and if the queen approves, then you know its a hit!
Lovely in Lilac
While Fall fashion tends to lend itself to a darker, moodier palette, Lilac has been a notable outlier this season. This fun purple shade is great for adding a lighter pop of colour to this season's looks. Rock it in a statement piece or in an all-over look like Cardi B.
Fall is the season for neutrals to shine. Grey can be seen as a boring choice but layering different shades of this color and pairing with a bright berry lip make it the perfect blend of cosy and sophisticated, like this look on Selena Gomez.
Beige was a standout on spring runways and this trend is continuing into Fall with tan and brown shades cropping up on runways. This brown shade is universally flattering and works especially well in outerwear. Pair it with darker browns like Meghan Markle and you're well on your way to Fall fashion success.
