Honey – The Secret To Flawless Skin

With the passage of time honey has continued to become one of nature's most revered skin remedies and one of the main ingredients for skin care. Honey is very good for your skin due to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

A favorite component for home remedies, it has maintained its importance due to its powerful healing capacity and  has many good properties like magnesium, potassium, calcium, sodium, chlorine, sulfur, iron and phosphate. It contains vitamins like B1, B2, C, B6, B5 and B3. There is also a  presence of copper, iodine and zinc in small quantities.

You can use honey for face masks and cleansers as it treats your skin very well. Honey has skin brightening properties and also lends a healthy moisturized glow to the face after usage.

Raw honey is packed with components beneficial for your skin, especially if you have acne or autoimmune skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis. Even Candida overgrowth may be controlled by applying honey to your skin.

Honey is also a natural humectant, so it helps keep the skin moist but not oily. Humectants draw moisture from the skin without replacing and hence honey nourishes your skin by the essential properties present in it.

Honey maintains moisture which helps your skin remain soft and supple. The hydration quality of the honey proves to maintain the skin's elasticity, smoothness and softness. The presence of antioxidants in honey protects you from UV rays.
