Beginner’s Guide To Buying The Perfect Heels
Beginner’s guide to buying the perfect heels
A classic black heel for every occasion. We’ve all seen gorgeous models and actresses wearing strappy heels that make their legs look long and toned. We’ve grown up wanting a perfect pair that is comfortable, stylish, and versatile so we can look just as glamorous as them. But when you walk into a store and see so many different kinds of heels, you just don’t know which one to choose!
Well, worry no more because we have got you covered. Just follow these simple tips before buying that oh-so-pretty high heels and you are on your way to that dream glam look.
- The purpose
Before you even move forward with trying to find the right heel, you need to know what function you want these heels to serve. Is it for work, or a nighttime event, or a social occasion? This will help you decide what kind of functional support you will need from your shoe, and what kind of outfit it will complement.
- The heel length
Think about this: do you want a heel that makes you look much taller or do you have another specific purpose for the heel in mind? Heels come in different heel lengths and deciding which one you feel comfortable with is the first step. Perhaps a 2-4 inch heel is a better choice, to begin with instead of a 6-inch platform heel!
- The Heel Type
There are a lot of different types of heels and each of them has a different structure that offers varying degrees of support to different parts of the foot. If you’re not sure, start with chunky heels so you can get used to walking in them.
- Try before you buy
If this is the first time you’re buying a pair of heels, don’t shop online! Go to an outlet store and try heels on until you find one that is comfortable enough for you to walk in. Walk-in them for a bit and see if they hurt your foot or feel uncomfortable. Only buy them if you feel comfortable in them!
